Week 11- World101

 Hi Everyone,


Welcome back to my blog. This week I explored World101. This web application provides modules that teachers can use to teach students about different aspects of the world. This can also be a great resource for students to use for studying and writing papers. This application provides modules on current global events as well as historical events. This can be an easy resource for teachers to use in classrooms when teaching a topic that students may not find interesting. The application also provides a nice video introduction to World101 to help you get started and see how you can use this application the best way to fit your needs. This resources also provide lesson plans, essay/discussion questions, and much more for teachers to use in their classrooms. Overall this resource is something both teachers and students will find interesting and helpful. Week 7- Code Spark

 Hi everyone, The application that I explored this week was Code Spark. My niece and nephew both started learning coding at a very young age and I see how those lessons have really opened their minds to so much more. Code Spark is an online application where students can learn simple coding. With fun animations students will be engaged and continue to want to learn more coding as they grow up. I think this is an important skill that students should be introduced to at a young age. Coding can help students with their problem-solving skills as well as their critical thinking skills. These are 2 very important skills that can be used by students in many aspects of their lives. Coding is a fun way for parents to help develop their child's math and literacy skills at an early age. I would definitely use this in my classes as a fun little "break" from classwork. This is a way to keep students brains stimulated without them knowing.
